Race 5 Oldenzaal - 3th place
07-07-2014 16:27Laconic, nochalant, walking next to his shoes, with his head floating in the clouds, thinking it will all be alright. Things will suit for themself must Luciano Trovato have been thinking at the start of this race. With both him and his upcoming contestant Floris van Dorst with 2 victories on their name.
Qualified: 9th place, the worst so far.
(Race 1, 1st - Race 2, 1st - Race 3, 2nd - Race 4: 4th)
What on earth is happening inside of his mind. Oldenzaal, his favourite track and already inhabited with the karts because he has already been here two times last season. With Ricardo Vlieger on pole, and Floris van Dorst as second, a catastrophe is about to happen.
The start of the race is always spectacular in Oldenzaal. The first corner to the right, with a following lefty, is always a certaincy for overtakes. As it also was for Luciano. Directly pasing 2, he came behind the suprisingly quick lady Natasja Eldermann who was driving 6th place. This battle was crazy, I tell you. As soon as I overtook her, and intented to drive away, she came back out of nowhere! Me, back on 7th place, even more frustrated of the bad qualification, gave full 100% again and managed to overtake her again, and again, wanted to drive away onwards the leaders of the race. But, there was Natasja again! Till now, there never was a fight between these two, and this first one was beautifull to spectate.
A gooze doens't hurt his toe three times to a rock, and so didn't Luciano. (although Luciano is a gooze sometimes..) After the kartsubstitutions, he was right back at Natasja again and drove away, to the leaders of the race.
The next opponent was Tom van Doorn. With the confidence of the many overtaking so far, this should not be a problem. And luckily, it wasn't! With a suprising overtake attempt in the inner corner before the straight section he astonished the quick Tom van Doorn en continued his road to the leaders of the race Floris van Dorst, Lyndon Leckie and Ricardo Vlieger.
With only a small amount of time left, podium seemed impossible. Floris was far away, and Lyndon and Ricardo were driving a very steady race. But then the most fortunate thing that could happen for Luciano actually happened: Lyndon and Ricardo both spinned!! Tom and Luciano both took their chances and came in right after Floris van Dorst.
Ricardo Vlieger took pole, but eventually came in 4th place due to his fight with Lyndon.
